Here we go again Folks! So you know in advance I will be posting in the next few days a link in which you will be able to view the very first Sassafras/City Council Meeting and once you see it you'll be blown away with what was stated and what they've done. Yess Barrie Tilghman & Mike Dunn, you're going down!
Nevertheless, Mr. Ruark is up to no good again. Are you familiar with Nutters Crossing and the newly expanded section? Mr. Ruark had promised that he would be adding his own water and sewer facilities there but rumor has it the entire project is becoming far too expensive and he's asking the City to annex the property into the City.
What gets me the most about these Builders is that they say they're going to do one thing, (in other words, LIE) and then they come back to the Taxpayers and force them to foot the bill for their wants and needs.
Seems to me that Mr. Ruark has become a master at this game! First of all, this property is NOT in the Smart Growth portion of the City. The City would not consider anythingOUTSIDE the Bypass and as we can ALL recall, Mike Dunn stated VERY clearly that there would be "NO MORE LARGE ANNEXATIONS."
That being said, ALL of you now have the heads up on this issue/matter and it's time you step up to the plate and shut these Developers down! This property is NOT in the Comprehensive Plan and Mr. Ruark should be forced to eat his own words and or shut down his business and move elsewhere.
